GSN ENDS 2015 WITH HIGHEST VIEWERSHIP EVER IN PRIMETIME WITH DOUBLE-DIGIT GROWTH ACROSS KEY DEMOS

2015 Was Most Watched Year in Network History in Primetime and Total Day  For a Fourth Straight Year

January 5, 2016 (Santa Monica, CA) – GSN, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, announced today that 2015 was the network’s most-watched year ever in both cable primetime and total day among Total Viewers and the key demos, Adults 18-49, Women 18-49, Adults 25-54 and Women 25-54 [1].  This is also the fourth consecutive year of growth for the 21-year old cable network in cable primetime, bucking the current downward trend in viewership being experienced by other well-established cable channels.

Noteworthy end-of-year ratings highlights for the network include: 2015 outgaining 2014 as the most watched year ever (+19%) in total day among total viewers; growing its W18-49 (+35%) P25-54 (+22%) and W25-54 (+18%) year-over-year in cable primetime [2] and ending 2015 on a strong note by delivering its most watched fourth quarter ever in both total day and cable primetime among total viewers and across key demos [3].  GSN was also one of the top ten fastest growing ad-supported cable entertainment networks in 4Q in cable primetime among P18-49 and P25-54. [4]

GSN’s continued success was bolstered by a network brand refresh, freshman series HELLEVATOR bringing in new younger viewers, and its two most popular series, SKIN WARS, hosted by actress Rebecca Romijn (which garnered a new spinoff, SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT) andIDIOTEST, hosted by comedian Ben Gleib, which will each return in 2016 for a third season. In 2016, GSN will continue to produce new originals that target women, including 40 episodes of the recently announced WINSANITY, hosted by actor and comedian Donald Faison.
